Privacy Policy

NewcombLabs builds self-hosted apps, so privacy is the whole point. This page explains the small amount of information this website handles and why. It covers newcomblabs.com only. The apps you buy run on your own computer and never send your data to NewcombLabs.
1. The apps themselves
Weekly, MyFi, HomeHQ and Earshot run on hardware you control. Your calendars, finances, household records, recordings, transcripts and everything else you put into them stay on your machine. NewcombLabs has no access to them. When an app connects to an outside service using your own API key (for example Plaid or Anthropic), that connection is between you and that provider, and their privacy policies apply.
Earshot needs no account, has no telemetry or tracking, and never uploads your audio or transcripts. Beyond the one-time install and speech model download, it only goes online for a single license check when you activate it, and for anything you choose to connect, such as your calendar.
2. Purchases
Checkout is handled by Polar, which acts as the seller of record, and card payments are processed by Stripe. Polar shares your name, email address and order details with NewcombLabs so we can deliver your download and help if something goes wrong. NewcombLabs never sees or stores your card details.
3. Reviews
If you leave a review, we store your first name, email address, star rating and review text. Your first name, rating and review may appear on this site once approved. Your email address is never shown publicly; we keep it only so we can follow up about your review, and to allow one review per person for each app.
4. Suggestions and email
The suggestions box opens your own email app with a message addressed to [email protected]. Nothing is sent until you send it. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to read and reply to your message.
5. Site analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you.
6. Cookies
This site does not set its own advertising or tracking cookies. Polar's checkout may use cookies needed to complete your purchase.
7. Third parties that serve this site
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the checkout script loads from jsDelivr. Each of these providers handles that request data under its own privacy policy.
8. We don't sell your data
NewcombLabs does not sell, rent or share your personal information for advertising.
9. Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, including any review, by emailing [email protected].
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
